“WHERE SCIENCE FICTION BECOMES SCIENCE FACTS” ELON MUSK

Driven by deep curiosity and guided by a living vision, the Research Division explores the frontiers of reality itself. We embrace scientific inquiry, interdisciplinary studies, future sciences and frontier thinking — not as separate disciplines, but as one unified quest to understand the living cosmos and humanity’s place within it.

Our Approach

The Research Division is dedicated to the deep exploration and understanding of reality. We connect established science with emerging paradigms, yet open exploration, and visionary thinking.

Key Themes

The Research Division pursues four core pillars of exploration:

Through projects such as AstroLab, BiomeLab and the Interstellar Preparation Program, we expand our knowledge of the universe and humanity’s place within it.

Four people standing in a forest clearing with holographic display showing a glowing globe, as large UFOs hover overhead among tall trees and fog.

AstroLab

Deep exploration of cosmic phenomena, astrophysics, stellar evolution, and the structure of the observable universe — a window into the living cosmos and humanity’s place within an already inhabited galaxy.

A futuristic space research facility with a large glass dome ceiling showing the sky and clouds. Scientists and an astronaut are gathered around a holographic Earth display, with screens displaying space data. Inside, there are plants and colorful flowers, and a spiral staircase leading to an upper level illuminated with purple and blue neon lights.

BiomeLab

Interdisciplinary research at the intersection of biology, ecology and living systems. Understanding the subtle connections between terrestrial life and other forms of life present throughout the universe, while developing optimal conditions for human existence in space.

A modern, luxurious lounge with a high glass-domed ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows, showcasing a scenic view of forested mountains and a partly cloudy sky. The interior features a marble floor, a central marble reception desk with staff, and a futuristic display of a sci-fi building projected on a large screen behind the desk. Seating areas with white sofas and small tables are arranged around the room.

Frontier Sciences

Investigation of emerging domains at the edge of knowledge: consciousness, quantum realities, subtle energy fields, and other paradigms that challenge conventional models while remaining grounded in rigorous, interdisciplinary inquiry.

View from inside a space station control room with large windows showing a Mars landscape, Earth in the sky, and a distant planet, with futuristic control panels and chairs.

Interstellar Preparation Program

Scientific, ethical, psychological, and cultural preparation for humanity’s conscious interstellar life. This includes long-duration mission design and the creation of new civilizational paradigms necessary for a harmonious expansion into an inhabited galaxy.
